Moon in Scorpio

Scorpio demands radical honesty with yourself, otherwise you will forever be prey for others. Without the Moon, you’ll never feel fulfilled. You’d live life a shallow cast of yourself.

Charting the Moon has been all the rage in astrology for good reason. But in particular, the Moon in Scorpio draws special attention. This is whether in the natal chart or during transits, like now during its annual New Moon in Scorpio season.

New Moon in Scorpio

A New Moon portends new beginnings and transformation. In Scorpio, it promises new emotional depth.

Libra was on a mission to find harmony with others. But Scorpio does not give a flick about it. Its challenge is to go inward and get honest, especially with yourself.

The thing is, soft feminine Moon is considered in its fall in Scorpio, a Fixed and Mars-ruled sign. It doesn’t feel comfortable with the Moon’s themes for nurture, connection, love, care. The things your inner child craved.

But the Moon is a light that requires nurturing. Given Scorpio’s rulership by Mars and Pluto (traditional and modern, respectively), Moon coping mechanisms, such as addictive behaviors, could be aggressive, obsessive compulsive in Scorpio.

Scorpio itself rules sex, power, and control.

A Moon in Scorpio unsatisfied squanders its energy in addictions.

I wrote about how this was a core pattern in Prince Andrew’s natal chart. Yes, the late Queen’s cosseted son and disgraced former duke who is being investigated for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Not all of us with Moon in Scorpio are like the disgraced former duke.

This aspect has powerful potential for transformation and rising above control structures in your life that do not serve your highest good. This is seen in Scorpio’s second and third symbols—the Eagle and Phoenix.

Use wisely.

As within, so without,
